Thinking back to the story by which I began this post, the world in which we live, with all its bloodshed, hatred, selfishness, unrighteous judgments, etc., is anything but what God had intended.

In the past, my prayer times were more structured than they are now. My time with Him still includes praise, worship, confession, intercession, thankfulness, but now much more. I am led to read and gain an understanding of many things that I could never properly explain before.

We are left with a flesh that remains partially sinful to keep us humble and to understand God's saving work within us. God could perfect us at any time, but think how much more powerful the Gospel message can be when it comes from a humble saint.

My dear readers, Defending the Works of God is what Christians are called to do. Self-sacrifice is the way of the cross, a love for Christ, and a testimony to the world, whether they receive it or not.

My dear readers, do you find it ironic that in a world where evil abounds, from common criminals who steal, rape, and murder, to nations waging war against nations and killing massive amounts of people for more political power and fortune, to all sorts of evils that keep government courts very busy by carrying out a sentance that

But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” Called To God's Greater Purpose As Saved Sons A good parent is someone concerned about their child's future and the direction their life, who gently guides them without interfering with God's greater purpose. What is God's greater purpose for all those He calls into His divine family?

Immortality is to share the eternal life with God, who is incorruptible. When we, as Christian believers and doers, share immortality, we also of necessity share incorruptibility.

We can say without fear of contradiction that the constant condition of the world is godless, idolatrous, and constantly being corrupted by the devil. For this reason, all prophets have warning ministries to cultures under God's wrath. Equally valid is that all prophetesses in scripture have the same ministry.

Others should come before ourselves, and we should consider our actions and beliefs to be vitally important, never treating life as a game. The eternal destiny of souls should never be viewed in any context as a game!

The test before us is a difficult passage, first because of cultural norms, and also because many people try to dodge anything that even resembles something as seemingly insignificant as a person's hair length.

What the world needs to know is that God is three distinct persons, yet so unified and giving glory to the others that they are One God.

What a Christian is is the most important question any "follower of Jesus" will ever answer after who Jesus Christ is and how important He is.

Anyone who experienced the 1960S knows it was a time of great upheaval in many ways, from many differing perspectives. It is now five decades later and when young people look back at what they think was a terrible America, some of us look at today and ask what happened to morality or even decency, and religion.

God provides true knowledge of Himself, not organized religions that seek their own worship rather than that of God. Consistently, God's work refers to His calling His children, and that divine call is to salvation as God's choice alone. It is God's glory and excellence alone that saves without any participation by sinful creatures, that all people are.

The option to disobey God's callling to be holy as He is holy does not exist ...like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” (1 Peter 1:14-15)

The Church of Jesus Christ has an organization, but you can be sure of several things: The Church is not just an organization. Jesus' will is to be a part of every aspect of church life.

Jesus Wept at the tomb of Lazarus, in the Garden of Gethsemene, but there was no other time more significant than in Luke (19:41).

Here's the big picture: repentance is recognizing that our sins originate within us, making us what we are: sinners.
