God's World, God's Way: By Design
One day, while at work, a thought came to me; when I shared it with a co-worker, she said, "You think too much." Maybe, but my thoughts led me to God; I think that's a good thing.
Because of the sink's power, I was able to see, to a degree more than usual, the water droplets flying off the downpour and hitting the bottom of the sink. Then my thoughts leaped to the body of water as it formed; at first it was turbulent, and then calm and still. I thought there must be millions of droplets, and yet there is one body of water.
God's World, God's Way: Representing God
By design, water represents God as three persons in one God, and through creation God has been making a people He calls His own: first Israel and then the Church. In both cases, they are being made to represent their God, Creator, Bridegroom, and bride.
"And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband." (Revelation 21:2)
"Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, 'Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." (Revelation 2:9)
God's World, God's Way: Representing The Lamb's Bride
In the Bible, the culmination of a world fallen, flooded/transformed, shaken/renevated, and ultimately replaced with a new heaven and earth is a bride made suitable for the Lamb of God. The New Jerusalem is transparent, which means you can look through it and see the bride of the Lamb.
In the New Heaven and Earth there will be no lies or liars, nor will there be night or darkness of any kind because such represents lies and the absence of the truth. "This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all." (1 John 1:5)
God's World, God's Way: Dishonored by Disobedient
Truth be told: there are many ways to disgrace God, and they all have one thing in common: disobedience to Him and, by so doing, misrepresenting the God who became a man, perfectly represented God without sin of any kind, and thereby misrepresenting God's holiness, grace, purity, and work He is accomplishing in His people. We (believers) do not live for ourselves but for Him who bought us with a terrible price.
"But in giving this instruction, I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse. For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it. For there must also be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you. Therefore when you meet together, it is not to eat the Lord's Supper, for in your eating each one takes his own supper first; and one is hungry and another is drunk. What! Do you not have houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the Church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I will not praise you." (1 Corinthians 11:17-22)
Epilogue:
To my faithful readers, thank you for following these blog posts. Writing has become a passion for me because, like Eric Liddell, who felt God's pleasure when he ran, even though he never said that, I too feel that I fulfill God's will best by writing and doing His will whenever I fulfill The Great Commission to go into all the world and make disciples. Sometimes I think the main reason for my existence, that is, after God's pleasure in me as His workmanship, is the otherwise fallen sinner and unworthy of any praise, is the book that I am now endeavoring to complete.
With that said, I beseech you for your prayers, as it occurred to me one day to build a platform on which my next book could be traditionally published and reach many more readers. That platform will be a video series covering many of the truths contained in the new book.
