ABOUT JOE DURSO
Author of The Jesus You Need to Know

Joe Durso was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1953. His grandparents were Italian immigrants. He graduated from Elohim Bible Institute in 1980, received a Master's degree from Trinity Theological Seminary in 1989. During the past ten years, he has discipled numerous men at Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Previously, he was the founder and director of the ministry Teens Under Fire, a drug awareness program reaching teens in High schools in Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties of Maryland. Joe is deeply passionate about his Christian faith at the ground level. He writes to the hurting, bewildered, lost, and broken-hearted people. His message is one of hope as found on the pages on Scripture.

Adam and Eve led their children down the road of sin and separation from God. There is one road that leads to God, and that is the rebirth of which no person is in control. The result of being born again is repentance and faith that continues throughout an authentic Christian's life. Assumption is never part of the believer's character. Assurance belongs to the rebirth.

The believer, by contrast, should experience the sealing of the Spirit, which is assurance of salvation. Such assurance is not based on assumption but the reality that God lives in one's heart.
